On February 29th, our institution invited Professor Mi Jianing from Harbin Institute of Technology to give an academic lecture titled Computing Power Promotes the Modernization of National Governance Capacity. The lecture was presided over by Dean Qin Lijian, and some teachers, graduate students, and undergraduate students from our university attended the lecture. Professor Miganin first introduced the origin and practical characteristics of various industrial revolutions, as well as their profound impact on human society. Based on this, he elaborated on the theoretical and practical relationship between the Fourth Industrial Revolution and computing power. Based on the stage characteristics of the transition of national governance capacity to the digital space, this paper analyzes the current situation and future trends of the demand for computing power scale and computing power in the fourth industrial revolution, and proposes corresponding countermeasures in combination with the current difficulties and challenges in promoting the modernization of national governance capacity through computing power. Finally, the teachers and students present had a lively discussion on the relevant issues, creating a strong academic atmosphere. The content of this academic lecture was detailed, further broadening the horizons of the attending teachers and students, and enabling our faculty and students to have a deeper understanding of the Fourth Industrial Revolution.
