On June 1,Shurui Chen gave an online academic report titled "Empirical Study on the Impact of New Rural Cooperative Medical Insurance on Rural Residents' Health".Part of the teachers and graduate students attended the lecture presided by Ke Jiang.
First,Shurui Chen introduced in detail the policy background and current situation of my country's implementation of the new rural cooperative medical insurance. Secondly,Shurui Chen empirically analyzed the impact mechanism of the new rural cooperative medical system on the health level of rural residents based on the household tracking survey data. The study found that participating in the NRCMS significantly improved the physical and mental health of rural residents, and the results were robust. From the analysis of the impact mechanism, after participating in the new rural cooperative medical system, rural residents will significantly increase the number of daily exercise, and under the guidance of the reimbursement ratio hierarchical diagnosis and treatment policy, rural residents can actively choose a lower-level hospital for treatment. Finally,Shurui Chen put forward policy suggestions for improving the existing rural medical security system based on relevant research conclusions.
The academic forum which is informative and insightful broadened the horizons of the students and teachers, providing them with a deeper understanding of the new rural cooperative medical insurance.
