On April 20th, Wei Fei gave an online academic report entitled "A Study on the Threshold of Birth Rate Change and Its Influencing Factors".Part of the teachers and students attended the lecture presided by Tingting Wang.

First of all, Wei Feianalyzed the development trend of my country's birth rate and its influencing factors, and listed in detail the statistical methods for setting the threshold of birth rate change. Secondly, Wei Feiconducted data modeling based on the indicator data of 287 prefecture-level cities from 2018 to 2019, combined with various dimensionality reduction methods. Studies have shown that factors such as the level of economic development, education and culture, and the ecological environment have the most obvious impact on the birth rate. Finally, Wei Feiprovides targeted policy suggestions for prenatal and postnatal care in my country from a statistical perspective.

The academic forum which is informative and insightful broadened the horizons of the students and teachers, providing them with a deeper understanding of the changing trend of China’s birth rate.
