Wang Jin Delivered Academic Lecture

On October 14, Wang Jin Online delivered an academic report entitled "The Impact of Health and Educational Human Capital on the Willingness of Migrant Workers to Settle in the City".Part of the teachers, graduate students and undergraduates attended the lecture presided by Ke Xu.

Based on large-scale field survey data, Wang Jin uses the Probit model and the Ordered Probit model to empirically test the impact of health and education human capital on the willingness of migrant workers to settle in cities, and conduct a heterogeneous analysis of migrant workers with different characteristics. The study found that education level and participation in health education activities have a significant positive effect on the willingness of migrant workers to stay. Finally, Wang Jin put forward targeted policy recommendations from two aspects: improving the vocational education system and improving the level of medical security.

The academic forum which is informative and insightful broadened the horizons of the students and teachers, providing them with a deeper understanding of the willingness of migrant workers to settle in the city.
