On May 5th, Yixiang Zhang made an online academic report entitled "Measurement of Carbon Emission Efficiency in the Yangtze River Economic Zone and Analysis of Spatial Effects".Part of the teachers, graduate students and undergraduates attended the lecture presided by Tiening Zhou.

Based on the super-efficiency SBM model, Yixiang Zhang measured the carbon emission efficiency of 11 provinces and cities in the Yangtze River Economic Belt from 2000 to 2017, and established a spatial measurement model to explore the influencing factors and spatial effects of carbon emission efficiency. Its research shows that the carbon emission efficiency of the Yangtze River Economic Zone has shown an upward trend in the past 17 years, and there are obvious differences between regions. In response to this research conclusion, Yixiang Zhang put forward countermeasures and suggestions from the transformation of economic development mode and energy consumption structure.The academic forum which is informative and insightful broadened the horizons of the students and teachers, providing them with a deeper understanding of the spatial effect of carbon emissions in the Yangtze River Economic Zone.
