On October 17th, our hospital invited Director Jinwei Liu of the National Health Commission to give an online academic lecture entitled "Assessment of China's Floating Population and Social Integration Status".Part of the teachers, graduate students and undergraduates attended the lecture presided by Lijian Qin, the Associate Dean.

Jinwei Liu first introduced the status and characteristics of the social integration of the floating population in China. It is pointed out that although the social integration work of the migrant population in my country has made positive progress, the overall integration level is not high.From 1982 to 2015, the average age of the migrant population in my country increased from 27.3 to 31 years, and the aging problem has become increasingly prominent.Secondly, it analyzes the political foundation, economic participation, and public service benefits of the floating population in the process of social integration in a multi-dimensional manner.It points out that in the current urban construction, the migrant population lacks protection in the fields of employment and medical treatment.Based on the mosaic theory of multiculturalism again, a social integration evaluation index with Chinese characteristics is constructed, and the social integration work of the migrant population in my country is evaluated.At last, the teachers and students present at the meeting had a heated discussion with strong academic atmosphere. The academic forum which is informative and insightful broadened the horizons of the students and teachers, providing them with a deeper understanding of the social integration of the floating population in our country.
