No.38: Research on the Impact of Population Aging on Medical Consumption Expenditure

Abstract:our country is a populous country in the world, and our country’s aging population also accounts for a large proportion of the world’s population. The aging of the population will inevitably bring many problems to the society, such as changes in lifestyle, changes in consumption levels, and changes in medical consumption levels.This article uses our country's total health expenditure to represent our country's medical consumption expenditure, and uses the proportion of people aged 65 and over in our country's total population to represent our country's aging degree.Use software to analyze and study the impact of population aging and other factors on medical consumption expenditure; because the data used is time series data, stationarity test, single integration test and cointegration test are performed on time series; through qualitative and quantitative analysis combined The method analyzes the correlation between population aging and the level of medical consumption. The research results show that: population aging has a positive correlation with medical consumption expenditure, but its contribution to medical consumption expenditure is not large, and the per capita income of residents is its main Influencing factors.
