Qingsong Tang and Wei Wang delivered their academic reports respectively on July 6th, namely Dynamic Evolution of Service Industry Agglomeration and New Urbanization: Effects and Mechanisms --- Based on the Investigation of Dual Market Integration, and The Analysis of Influencing Factors of Employment of Junior Elderly People. Some teachers, graduate students and undergraduates of our college attended the forum presided by Yanmin Wang, a teacher.
Qingsong Tang made an explanation of industry agglomeration and new urbanization firstly. Then, he figured out that new urbanization has economic inertia, that the mediating effect of service industry agglomeration is negative under the condition of dual market integration. By virtue of the analysis of Logistic regression, Wei Wang found that the employment of junior elderly people is influenced by various factors such as gender, educational level, participation degree of social security, health level, the amount of children, etc. At last, the teachers and students present at the meeting had a heated discussion with strong academic atmosphere. The academic forum which is informative and insightful broadened the horizons of the students and teachers, providing them with a deeper understanding of the dynamic evolution of service industry agglomeration and new urbanization and of the employment of junior elderly people
