On July 8th, Wei Chang, professor and doctoral supervisor from school of economics of Anhui University, was invited to deliver an academic lecture named How to Do Investigation. Part of the teachers, graduate students and undergraduates attended the lecture presided by Lijian Qin, the Associate Dean.
According to the difference of the nature of investigation and the combination of investigation theory, Wei Chang divided the field survey into four types --- status survey, correlation survey, causality survey and development survey. Besides, relating to actual cases, he vividly expounded the specific contents and the importance of investigation processes which involves preliminary research, preparation of interview questionnaire, training of investigators, edition of investigation letters and introduction letters as well as interview etiquette and ethics research. At last, the teachers and students present at the meeting had a heated discussion with strong academic atmosphere. The academic forum which is informative and insightful broadened the horizons of the students and teachers, providing them with a deeper understanding of investigating work.
