On June 8th, Minjie Shen and Yi Qi delivered their academic reports respectively on The Study on the Influence of Financial Development on the Transformation and Upgrading of Industrial Structure --- Based on the Panel Data of 11 Provinces in the Yangtze River Economic Zone, and The Influence of System Design and Population Structure on the Balance of Basic Pension Fund for Urban Workers --- Taking the Situation in Anhui Province as a Case. Some teachers, graduate students and undergraduates of our college attended the forum presided by teacher Lian Hu.

Based on the relevant data of 11 provinces in Yangtze River Economic Zone from 2005 to 2017, Minjie Shen introduced the influence of financial development on the transformation and upgrading of industrial structure by exercising benchmark return. Yi Qi made an empirical research on panel data of 16 cities in Anhui province from 2010 to 2018, and found the balance rate of basic pension fund for urban workers is influenced by pension contribution rate, pension replacement rate, dependency ratio of the elderly population and the change of population social structure. Furthermore, the positive and negative relationship between various influencing factors and endowment insurance for employees was interpreted. At last, the teachers and students present at the meeting had a heated discussion with strong academic atmosphere. The academic forum which is informative and insightful broadened the horizons of the students and teachers, providing them with a deeper understanding of the financial industry and system in the process of optimization and upgrading of industrial structure and the influence of population structure on endowment insurance.
