On May 18th, Xiu Gao and Na Li delivered their academic reports respectively on Dynamic Correlation Analysis of Agricultural Economic Growth and Input Factors inShandong Province, and The Study on the Influencing Factors of Health of the Elderly---Based on the Empirical Analysis of CFPS Data. Some teachers, graduate students and undergraduates of our college attended the forum presided by Associate Dean, Xiang Li.
Xiu Gao made an analysis of the dynamic correlation and interactive effect among the selected economic variables with VAR (Vector Autoregression model) and IRF (Impulse Response Function). The analysis found the co-integration relationship between the gross agricultural production, workforce in agricultural field, the total power of agricultural machinery and the input of fixed assets in agriculture of Shandong province. Na Li analyzed the elderly samples of China Family Panel Studies (CFPS) in 2018 with Logist Regression model and came up with some suggestions for guaranteeing the healthy status of the elderly. At last, the teachers and students present at the meeting had a heated discussion with strong academic atmosphere. The academic forum which is informative and insightful broadened the horizons of the students and teachers, providing them with a deeper understanding of the input factors of agricultural economic growth and the influencing factors of health of the elderly.
