On July 8th , we invited the academy invited Dr. Hao Dong, a senior researcher of the University of Southampton, UK, to give an academic lecture titled "Theoretical Frontier and Practical Development of International Cooperative Economy".Part of the teachers ,graduate students and undergraduates attended the lecture presided by Dean Lijian Qin.

Dr. Hao Dong firstly elaborates the concepts of cooperation, cooperative behavior and cooperative economy, and explains in detail the development process of cooperative economy. Then he focuses on the functional evolution and institutional innovation of international cooperative economy and analyzes the current situation and future development trend of international cooperative economy. Dr. Hao Dong points out that the professional cooperative system should be created with the responsibility of economic growth, and the way of agricultural modernization should be innovated with the responsibility of economic and social transformation. Dr.Hao Dong believes that cooperative economy has great potential in the context of rural revitalization strategy. It is hoped that more young scholars and graduate students will devote themselves to cooperative economy research. At the end, the teachers and students present had a lively discussion on the relevant issues, and there was a strong academic atmosphere.

The academic forum which is informative and insightful broadened the horizons of the students and teachers, providing them with a deeper understanding of the cooperative economy.
