Abstract:This paper selects the data of the China Family Tracking Survey (CFPS) and uses the Ordered Probit model to conduct empirical analysis. The study finds that the higher the family status of women, does not necessarily lead to higher happiness. Especially for women with lower education level and those who are bound by traditional cultural values, higher family status has a particularly significant negative impact on their well-being. This finding has important theoretical significance for future research on individual well-being, that is, research on factors affecting women's well-being, in addition to family status, education and cultural concepts and other factors need to be studied. In addition, the conclusion of this paper on the influence of old cultural concepts on women's well-being also provides theoretical support for government departments to formulate policies to protect women's rights and interests.
