On October 21, Ke Xu gave an online academic report titled "Externalization and diffusion: Non-profit Elderly Service Organizations in the Changing Institutional Environment".Part of the teachers, graduate students and undergraduates attended the lecture presided by Wang Jin.

Ke Xu used the theory of new institutionalism to analyze the choice of forms of elderly care service organizations in the changing system and market environment. His research found that for the pursuit of legitimacy, elderly care service organizations showed a higher tendency to institutionalize, and at the same time, under the influence of the welfare system , Non-profit elder care service organizations are rapidly spreading in the emerging middle and low-end elder care service areas through the "externalization" strategy, and occupy a leading position. Finally, Ke Xu put forward targeted policy recommendations for non-profit elderly care service institutions and organization service outsourcing issues.

The academic forum which is informative and insightful broadened the horizons of the students and teachers, providing them with a deeper understanding of the non-profit elderly service organizations.
