On September 8, our college invited Professor Fengtian Zheng from Renmin University of China to give an online academic report entitled "The hot spot and difficulty of China's agriculture and rural development in common prosperity".Part of the teachers, graduate students and undergraduates attended the lecture presided by Dean Lijian Qin.

First, Fengtian Zheng gave a detailed introduction to the relationship between my country's agriculture, rural development and common prosperity. Fengtian Zheng believes that the modernization of agriculture and rural areas is the prerequisite for the overall modernization of the country. In the process of moving towards common prosperity, the modernization of agriculture and rural areas is the key. Secondly, Fengtian Zheng pointed out that my country's rural areas are facing challenges such as backward production supporting conditions and relatively small guarantees for rural people's livelihood. In order to solve these challenges, my country should strengthen the construction of a platform for the complementary functions of urban and rural industries, persist in improving the livelihood of rural people, and guarantee the supply of public services in rural areas, so as to inject new momentum into my country's goal of achieving common prosperity.

The academic forum which is informative and insightful broadened the horizons of the students and teachers, providing them with a deeper understanding of the hot spot and difficulty of China's agriculture and rural development in common prosperity.
