On August 16, our institute invited researcher Wei Jia from the Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences to give an online academic report entitled "Research on Hot and Difficult Issues in Rural Industrial Development and Rural Revitalization".Part of the teachers, graduate students and undergraduates attended the lecture presided by Dean Lijian Qin.

First, based on the perspective of rural revitalization, Wei Jia analyzed the functional positioning and factor endowment advantages of my country's urban and rural industries. Wei Jia believes that villages and cities will form differentiated industrial sectors based on their own factor endowment advantages, as well as different industrial functions. It is necessary to promote the complementarity of urban and rural industries through institutional design to stimulate the initiative of rural independent development. Secondly, Wei Jia gave examples one by one around agricultural products, rural endowment advantages, "Internet + agriculture", and agricultural organization system, and analyzed in detail the driving factors of rural industry development. Finally, Wei Jia gave targeted policy recommendations from three aspects: rural characteristic resource development, financial support, and talent introduction.

The academic forum which is informative and insightful broadened the horizons of the students and teachers, providing them with a deeper understanding of the China's rural industry revitalization.
