On August 6, we invited Professor Tao Fang from Memorial University of Newfoundland, Canada to deliver an online academic report entitled "Research on Urban Integration of China's Rural Migrant Labor Force”.Part of the teachers, graduate students and undergraduates attended the lecture presided by Dean Lijian Qin.

At the meeting, Tao Fang first introduced the current situation of labor mobility in my country's urban and rural areas and the existing institutional obstacles.Tao Fang believes that although the impact of the urban and rural household registration system has been weakened, the scope and degree of separation is still not enough.Secondly, Tao Fang gave examples of

non-policy household registration discrimination encountered by rural laborers who have entered cities in education, employment, and medical care, and analyzed in detail the influencing factors that hinder rural laborers from integrating into cities. Finally, Tao Fang took the mobility barriers faced by the new generation of labor as an example, and gave targeted policy recommendations from multiple aspects such as household registration, land, and social security.

The academic forum which is informative and insightful broadened the horizons of the students and teachers, providing them with a deeper understanding of the Transfer Of Rural Labor.
