On May 25th, our institute invited Professor Xiangzhi Kong from Renmin University of China to give an online academic report entitled "Interpretation of Central Document No. 1".Part of the teachers, graduate students and undergraduates attended the lecture presided by Dean Lijian Qin.

Xiangzhi Kong pointed out at the meeting that the No. 1 Central Document is a programmatic document for the implementation of my country's annual policy, which has important guiding significance for the implementation of the national strategy. Xiangzhi Kong believes that this year's No. 1 Central Document, with the theme of agricultural and rural modernization, reflects the country's determination to vigorously promote rural revitalization. Focusing on the central idea of the document, Xiangzhi Kong proposed to grasp the policy connotation of this year's Central Document No. 1 from the perspective of the improvement speed of the modernization of agriculture and rural areas, the trend of rural households becoming part-timers, and the continuous reduction of villages. In response to the policy objectives of deepening the reform of the agricultural supply-side proposed in the document, Xiangzhi Kong took the trend of farmer household differentiation as an example, comprehensively analyzed the role of farmer cooperatives as a carrier connecting farmer households and modern agricultural development, and proposed improvements on this basis.
